Alton Medical's disposable endoscopy injection needle is used in EMR/ESD for submucosal injection of fluids that create a submucosal cushion, reducing the risk of muscle damage during resection or polypectomy. It is also used for injecting vasoconstrictors to control bleeding and dyes to mark the boundaries of the lesion. Single use ensures sterility and safety of the procedure.
Clinical Applications of the Injection Needle
- Submucosal injection before EMR/ESD;
- Injection of vasoconstrictive agents for hemostasis;
- Administration of dyes (indigo carmine, methylene blue);
- Assistance in working with flat or fibrotic lesions.
