Disposable Forceps (Alligator-type) are designed for endoscopic retrieval of foreign bodies where precise gripping with narrow alligator-type jaws is required. The jaw design ensures effective holding of hard, slippery, or thin objects that are difficult to secure with other types of forceps or baskets.
Clinical application of disposable forceps with alligator jaws:
- bronchoscopy — retrieval of small foreign objects from the airways;
- gastroscopy and colonoscopy — removal of tablets, fragments, or foreign bodies from the GI tract;
- veterinary medicine — foreign body removal in dogs, cats, and other small animals.
Key parameters:
Working diameters Ø 1.8–2.4 mm, length up to 2300 mm, alligator-type jaws with opening width up to ~7 mm.
